LAVA Charter School

While most studedents choose to stay for the full school day, our Hybrid Independant Study Program can include these optional electives.

All students that stay for electives have Advisory for their first eletive of the day. This is a class where students get to learn some important life skills, do fun activities, as well as getting some extra time for completeing assignments and AR reading. Some activies may include: virtual college visits, career education, enrichment projects related to our Lassen Park fieldtrips, playing kickball, learning about local highschool programs, coding, online competency skills, and many other great things!

Say Cheese! Our yearbook class meets on Tuesday afternoons. The Yearbook crew works hard preserving all the great moments we have throughout the year.

Students in leadership help to plan school dances, fundraisers, and rallies! This is a great way to learn valuable leadership and communication skills.

LAVA offers beginning guitar classes to our budding Rock Stars.

 

This class is for student who would like some extra help on assignments or just want some time to complete work independently. 

 

 

Students will watch, learn, and create short sketches, plays, music performances, and any other performing related activities. 

Students in Monster TV produce, film, and edit the school news.

This is a class of fun and exciting activities, ranging from creating chain mail and learning to play chess, to playing dodgball and slacklining.
